Police are appealing for information after a man exposed his genitals to a teenage girl on a bus in Gloucester earlier this month.

The incident happened at around 3pm on Monday 5 May on the number 1 bus travelling to Matson.

It was reported that the girl got on the bus in Gloucester city centre and sat down at the back of the vehicle.

A short time later, as the bus reached Barton Street, she became aware that someone sat on the opposite side of the bus was waving at her to get her attention. When she looked over she saw that a man was exposing his penis.

The girl was scared and distressed by this and ran to tell the driver, who stopped the bus and told the suspect to get off at the St James Club stop on Barton Street. He then reported the incident to police.

The man was described as being white, of a slim build and around 5ft 4ins in height. He is aged between 40 and 50 years old with black hair and a black beard with grey running through it.

Officers have conducted CCTV enquiries and are now appealing to the public for more information.

They are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or who has any relevant information which could assist with the investigation.
