Police release CCTV image of potential witness following altercation in Nailsworth

Police investigating an incident which happened last weekend in Nailsworth, are keen to hear from anyone who has information which could assist them.

Officers are investigating an altercation which involved two men in the area of Station Road and the Egypt Mill Hotel & Restaurant car park.

This happened between around 6.20pm and 6.30pm on Sunday 16 July and involved people who are known to each other.

It is understood that the pair had walked along Station Road and into the car park.

Enquiries show a woman was also walking along Station Road around the same time and officers want to speak to her as she may have information which could assist the ongoing investigation.

A CCTV image of the potential witness has been released in a bid to identify her.

A 40-year-old man from Stroud was arrested in connection with the incident and was later released on police bail.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

Police are keen to hear from anyone else who saw what took place or who drove on Station Road between 6pm and 6.45pm that day and may have dashcam footage.
