Police release CCTV images following shocking attack on teenager

Police investigating an assault in Stroud town centre have released CCTV images of three men they would like to identify in connection with the incident.

The assault took place on King Street between 12.30am and 1am on Sunday, 24 May. It is reported that the men pictured were part of a group who assaulted a 19-year-old local man in what is believed to have been an unprovoked attack.

The victim, who was not known to the group, sustained facial injuries as well as grazes and bruises to his body. He was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital as a precaution.

Following the incident, the victim’s wallet and mobile phone were found to be missing and are believed to have been stolen during the altercation.

Investigating officers are now appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the men shown in the CCTV images and are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

Anyone who recognises the men, witnessed the incident, or has any information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact Gloucestershire Police, quoting occurrence number 53260038930.
