A dog owner whose pet attacked a deer in Amberley is being sought by police.
The incident happened yesterday, Tuesday, at 10am, when a deer lost its hind legs after being attacked by an Irish wolfhound. Armed response officers humanely dispatched the deer.
It is believed that the dog owner was walking on a footpath from St Chloe in Amberley towards the Bear of Rodborough.
A spokesperson from Gloucestershire Police said: “If you have any further information about the incident, have CCTV or may know the owner of the dog, we’d like to hear from you.”
It is illegal to allow dogs to chase deer.
