Police are appealing for witnesses after a man assaulted another man in a suspected road rage related incident in Stroud last month.

It was reported that on Saturday, March 28 at around 6.20pm a man was unloading his van when the driver of a car shouted and swore at the him about blocking the road.

This took place in a lane off Marling Close in Amberley and the unknown man got out of his vehicle and attempted to remove the air from the tyres of the victim’s van.

The man then physically assaulted the victim and he required treatment at hospital.

The unknown man then got back into a dark coloured car, which was described as being similar in shape to an Audi A3, and drove off.

The suspect was described as being a tall white man aged in his early 50s who was of a large build and had mousy brown hair which was thinning on the top. He was wearing a red/burgundy coloured jumper, blue jeans and brown/tan coloured boots.

A number of people were in the area at the time and detectives are asking anyone who saw what happened or who has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
