Pop-up shop offers sage advice

Stroud Town Council is hosting a pop-up shop on Thursday at the Five Valleys Shopping Centre.

One of the main focuses will be providing information on how to stand as a candidate for Town Council in the upcoming elections on May 2nd. Council staff will explain the process for getting on the ballot and requirements for serving.

Voter registration and identification requirements will also be covered. Residents can check their voter registration status and get clarification on the types of ID that will be required to vote.

Additionally, the Town Council will gather feedback on their proposed relocation to the Locking Hill site. The councillors believe this potential move could enhance the Council’s services and be a great improvement for residents. Attendees can find out more about the move.

“We encourage all residents to take advantage of this unique opportunity to get their questions answered and voices heard,” said Town Council Mayor, Stella Parkes. “This pop up shop allows us to make local government more accessible.”

The pop-up shop will be open from 10am to 6pm this Thursday, March 7th.
