Princess Anne visits Horsfall House

A staple in the very fabric of Minchinhampton,  Princess Anne made a short trip from her Gatcombe home to visit Horsfall House.

Her Royal Highness, who is patron of the home,  was received by the Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire, Mrs. Jane Jenner-Fust. Mrs. Margaret Greaves, General Manager, introduced HRH to many non-nursing staff members, before escorting her to all units of the care home.

During her tour The Princess engaged with many of the carers, nurses and activity organisers in Domiciliary Care, the Doctor Booth Day Centre, and both residential Units.

Her Royal Highness was delighted to present long service retirement certificates to Gillian Richmond, 24 years and Janet McEvoy, 27.

Mr. Chris Fisher, Chair of the Management Board, then outlined to HRH the Board’s plans for the forthcoming year at Horsfall House.

Mr. Nigel Parry, Chairman of the Trustees, then thanked, on behalf of all involved, Her Royal Highness for visiting and for her highly valued and continued support for the home. Prior to her departure, HRH was presented with a small bouquet of flowers by Mrs. Barbara Parker.
