Brimscombe boss Sam Prior heaped praise on his side after they jumped up to joint second in the Hellenic Premier Division table after an emphatic 4-0 win over Lydney Town.

Goals in the first half from Ollie Pitt and Jonty Welch put Brimscombe in control and the gloss was sealed with strikes from Oli Barnes and Sam Folkes made it a good day at the office for Prior’s side, who included former Shortwood keeper Daniel Brabham

Prior said: “Top performance from all involved today. Boys showed real discipline and understanding of the way we play and played progressively when we got possession.”

Brimscombe are in GFA Trophy action on Tuesday night when they travel to Cheltenham Saracens.
