In House is the print studio & online store founded by Hayley & Marcus Walters.
Together they create collections of artwork at their studio that they develop into prints, patterns or products with the aim of making peoples homes beautiful. Over the last few years, they have designed collections for Heals, Tate and Habitat.
Project 8 is the culmination of many months of experimentation in the print studio utilising ideas they have had simmering over the last few years. Their process starts with texture, pattern, mark-making and then those elements are exposed onto silk screens.

Project 8 features a wide-ranging selection of artworks, from screen-printed canvases and wall hangings featuring individual prints which overlap, building layers, colours and taking on a new direction from the starting points.
The exhibition also features wooden panels, laser cut to enable to reconstruct compositions of different colours and printed textures. Each artwork is an original, one-off piece handcrafted and finished using specially crafted unglazed frames by RO Frames based in Stroud.

Marcus said: “Project 8 is an exciting new direction for us. We gave ourselves the freedom and time to experiment pulling together lots of different elements to create this new body of work. We want our artwork to look great in peoples homes, this is something we always have our mind when creating it.”
