Quartet join Stonehouse from Shortwood

Shortwood top scorer hot-shot Luke Soule, Chris Earle, Nathan and Kieran Marks have made the short move to Hellenic League rivals Stonehouse Town.

The quartet played for the Magpies in yesterday’s 6-0 defeat at home to Lydney Town.

Meanwhile, new Shortwood boss Dan Gillespie has been faced with a squad rebuild and guided his side to a 4-1 victory over Herefordshire County League outfit Ledbury on Saturday thanks to goals from captain Joe Tryner, and new recruits Alex Gayner, Essa Sabally and Jacob Wellington from the penalty spot.

Wood’s pre-season continues when they make the short trip to take on Josh Loveridge’s Sharpness – kick off 3pm.
