Ahead of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, staff at Stroud Brewery have uncovered two unopened bottles of Coronation Ale, made by the original Stroud Brewery at Wallbridge in 1953 to celebrate the Queen’s coronation.

Brewer Ben Jennison-Phillips told Stroud Times that the brewery will be raising a glass to the jubilee – but with one of their modern beers, not one made 70 years ago!
