270 Climbing Park in Gloucestershire builds on impressive start with exciting visitor attraction officially up and running after successful soft launch.

Upon final completion, the project will see the total redevelopment of the site of the former Bentham Country Club in Gloucestershire, on the edge of the Cotswolds.

While work continues to develop the rest of the park, phase one of the project is now complete following a month-long soft opening.

This first phase has seen the completion of the landscaping as well as the finishing touches to the soaring six-tier high ropes course and 22m tall activity tower with its jumps and ziplines! The whole course is one of the highest in Europe with 60 challenging obstacles ranging in difficulty from easy to very hard!

The high ropes and tower offer a dynamic activity and a great visitor attraction for the region – whether its experienced adrenaline seekers or novice friends, families, colleagues or youth groups. It can also be used as challenging training facilities for all kinds of sport and fitness clubs, the emergency services and military personnel from both the local and the wider region. As well as the obvious physical attributes, the ropes course also provides many mental and other wellbeing benefits – it’s a memorable and inspiring experience for schools and educational establishments.

In addition to the five-star reviews on Facebook and Google, the High Ropes facilities are receiving glowing comments on the company’s online guest experience software.

Company Director, David Stevens said: “It’s still early days with the project but we’ve had some incredible customer feedback so far from people during our trial run. We want everyone to get the most out of their time with us and we’re genuinely interested whether visitors had a good time with us or not. We automatically email everyone following their visit to see how their experience went and while not every single comment that comes back is five stars, a lot of them actually are.”

David added: “In fact, current customer feedback on our software platform places 270 Climbing Park comfortably within the top 10% of tourist attractions and venues across Europe.

“We’re so pleased to bring such an exciting attraction to the region and to hear that people are enjoying them so much is just the icing on top.

“The project will see the total redevelopment of the site of the former Bentham Country Club in Gloucestershire, on the edge of the Cotswolds, into one of the best climbing gyms and adventure activity centres in the country with activities for all ages and abilities.

“Work over the coming months includes the front building being redeveloped to include a 200+ seater café with inside and outdoors seating, party rooms, retail spaces and offices. Phase two will see the introduction of a dedicated Bouldering gym and Fun Climbing facilities around September this year, while phase three will see the development of the main climbing arena as well as other exciting facilities come on board during 2024.

“We recently held a Neighbours Day and invited those who live closest to the park in for a complimentary evening on the ropes.”
