I love this easy veggie burger recipe. It is packed with hearty flavors and wholesome ingredients; it also doesn’t fall apart if you’re lucky enough to have the weather for a barbecue! Even meat-eaters will be asking for seconds!
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 35 mins
Servings: 4
Ingredients
300g Canned lentils drained, 85g canned black beans drained, 1 onion chopped, 1 clove garlic minced, 55g breadcrumbs, 40g rolled oats ground to oat flour, 8 Mushrooms cut into small pieces, 15g fresh parsley chopped, and vegetarian Worcestershire sauce.
Instructions
Combine lentils, black beans, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, oats, mushrooms, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper in a food processor and blend until smooth – you can leave it a bit grainy if you prefer more texture.

Divide the mixture into 4 and form the patties over parchment paper. Grease a non-stick frying pan and bring it to medium-high. Add the burgers and cook them on both sides until they are golden brown (about 8-10 minutes per side). Serve in burger buns with fresh cucumber, red onion, and sauce.
