Forest Green Rovers will observe a one-minute silence ahead of this weekend’s National League fixture at home to FC Halifax Town in tribute to a family, who tragically lost their lives in a house fire on Boxing Day in Brimscombe.
Fionnghuala and her children, Eve (7) and Ohner (4), died in the early hours of Boxing Day morning. The devastating incident has deeply affected the local community.
Forest Green Rovers CEO Dane Vince said: “All of us at Forest Green send our heartfelt condolences to Tom at this incredibly difficult time. We know many people across the local community have been affected by this tragedy, and we will be paying tribute to the family this weekend.”
In addition to the minute’s silence, Forest Green Rovers players will wear black armbands during the match as a mark of respect.
