Indie legend Richard Ashcroft will return to the woodlands at Westonbirt Arboretum on Sunday, June 28.
The former Verve frontman will be supported by ex-Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan and indie rockers Apollo Junction.
2025 has already been a landmark year for Ashcroft. His recent shows with Oasis received rapturous, stadium-wide receptions, while his latest singles have built anticipation for his upcoming album ‘Lovin’ You’. Demand for his 2026 arena tour has been phenomenal, with London’s The O2 selling out months in advance, alongside sold-out shows in Manchester, Cardiff, and Liverpool. His Westonbirt Arboretum show promises to be one of the highlights of the summer.
Ashcroft’s new album, Lovin’ You, continues the rediscovery of his influential songbook, spanning his career with The Verve—best known for the 11x Platinum #1 Urban Hymns—and his expansive solo work.
The supporting lineup is equally impressive. Tom Meighan, now pursuing a solo career, released his debut album The Reckoning in 2023, exploring themes of addiction, remorse, recovery, and redemption. Leeds-based rockers Apollo Junction will open the evening with tracks from their critically acclaimed album What In The World, having previously supported Ashcroft at Dalby Forest in 2024.
Ashcroft joins a stellar roster of confirmed headliners for Forest Live’s 25th Anniversary shows in 2026, including Nile Rodgers & Chic, Rick Astley, McFLY, Billy Ocean & Marti Pellow, Garbage & Skunk Anansie, Deacon Blue & Lightning Seeds, Becky Hill, Snow Patrol, The Kooks, and UB40 ft. Ali Campbell, with more acts to be announced.
Forest Live combines world-class performances with stunning outdoor locations across Cannock Chase, Delamere Forest, High Lodge Thetford Forest, and Westonbirt Arboretum, celebrating 25 years of unforgettable live music experiences in England’s forests. Funds raised help Forestry England maintain the nation’s 1,500 woods and forests, support conservation projects, and plant new trees—7.4 million were planted in 2024/25 alone, with 313 million visits welcomed that year.
