Woodchester Valley Vineyard is delighted to announce the release of the follow on vintage of their award winning Sauvignon Blanc.
The 2022 vintage will be released as part of English Wine Week, an event which runs from 17th to 25th June where more than 500 vineyards across the country are celebrating the burgeoning English wine industry, with many hosting special tastings, tours and other events.
Readers may remember that the 2021 was awarded a coveted Global Master medal in a wine competition judged blind by Masters of Wine and Master Sommeliers. It was the first English still wine to win a Master award and the news went viral with the wine selling out in a matter of days.

The 2022 vintage benefited from last year’s hot summer and reached perfect natural ripeness with an excellent balance of sugar and acidity, producing a wine with luscious gooseberry, white peach and tropical fruits. The 2,000 Sauvignon Blanc vines are planted on the precipitous slopes in the Westrip vineyard at Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.

Woodchester Valley is hosting a week long festival with special tastings throughout the week, including their Pinot Noir themed Pinot & Pizza evening, a Grand Tasting of their full range of wines and a Wine & Cheese evening with wine flights specially paired with local cheese. All of these are available to book via their website, or why not pop into their Cellar Door (located on the A46 a mile north of Nailsworth) to try the wine of the day and pick up some of their award winning wines. Their new Sauvignon Blanc will be available to buy online and in their Cellar Door from Saturday 17th June.
