Emergency services were called to a report of serious collision on the A46 towards Stroud yesterday (Tuesday 11 October).
A collision occurred between a car and a pedestrian at around 10am near to Salmon Springs outside of Stroud.
Road closures were put in place which have now all been lifted.
The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 80s, has since been taken to Southmead Hospital to receive treatment for her injuries, which are deemed serious.
Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the pedestrian in the area around that time, and who hasn’t yet spoken to police, to contact them.
Anyone with dashcam footage or information they feel may be relevant is also asked to make contact.
