Road closed for urgent safety work

A road is to remain closed after a ‘void’ was discovered under the surface.

The A46 between Painswick and Pitchcombe, near Stroud, has been closed in both directions since March 14.

Diversions remain in place for motorists travelling between Gloucester and Stroud.

The closure runs from the junction of the A4173 to Wragg Castle Lane.

The road is expected to reopen at 3,30pm on April 8.
