Rodborough Hill will be closed to traffic for a period of four days from tomorrow, Tuesday.
The closure will allow Gloucestershire Highways to carry out investigations and works on two depressions that have appeared in the road near to the Rodborough Primary School and Middle Spillmans.
This closure follows the recent incident in which a cyclist was injured due to a depression in the carriageway. Two depressions have since been identified in the road surface, requiring urgent attention to ensure public safety.
Access will be maintained for the roads which run off Rodborough Hill but there will be no through traffic. A diversion will operate which will reroute traffic including the Cotswold Green 40 bus.

Access to properties will be managed by road crews , who will direct residents to the appropriate entry point – either via Bath Road or Walkley Hill – depending on the current location of the works zone, which will shift as work progresses.
Highways have reprogrammed crews/resources from other schemes in order to undertake this work. The duration and repair are dependent on the outcome of the investigations and what is discovered to be causing the depressions.
The works could take longer than four days, however, the aim is to re-open the road before the schools return after Easter in week commencing 28th April.
These are urgent works not currently shown on https://one.network/ which should be updated in due course. Enquiries can be directed to Highways on 0800 051 4514.
