Rob Edwards and Jamille Matt on Northampton test, Ebou Adams text message, and keeping the foot on the pedal

Records mean nothing to grounded Forest Green boss Rob Edwards.

The league leaders travel to third-place Northampton Town on Saturday, knowing a victory will extend their unbeaten sequence to 13 games – a league record for Edwards’ side.

Edwards said: “It’s not something I knew about and it’s not something I’ll focus on. If you do things right, then you’ll eventually get nice moments like that – but it’s not important to us right now. We’re focusing on the next game because it’s a chance for three points, and not for any nice records that come along with it. Three points are the main thing.”
