Rob Edwards on FA shortlist if Gareth Southgate resigns as England manager

Rob Edwards would be a leading contender to replace Gareth Southgate if he decides to call time on his tenure as England manager.

The former Forest Green boss is familiar with the England set-up, having worked under Southgate at St George’s Park, coaching the England U16s and U20s age groups.

Edwards recently signed a four-year deal with Luton.

Southgate has said that he wants to take the next few days to consider his future after the European Championship final defeat to Spain on Sunday night.
