Robbie Savage believes Forest Green Rovers have landed a “real, real talent” after Adeteye Gbadehan impressed during a ten-day trial at the club.
The 22-year-old midfielder has earned a permanent move to The New Lawn, signing a one-year deal after catching the eye of Savage and his coaching staff.
The versatile midfielder or defender made 14 appearances last season for MLS Next Pro side St Louis CITY 2.
Gbadehan also had a short spell with Cardiff City, making one EFL Cup appearance during the 2024/25 season in a 5-3 defeat to Southampton, as well as four appearances for the Under-21s in the Premier League Cup.
Savage said: “Adeteye’s been on trial with us for the last ten days and has done exceptionally well.
“We believe Adeteye can benefit the club long term. He’ll develop with us, and we think he is a real, real talent.”
Gbadehan said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be here. The lads, the gaffer and the staff have been great since I arrived. I just cannot wait to get going now and show people what I’m about.”
