Forest Green have this afternoon (Tuesday) confirmed the arrival of AFC Flyde midfielder Nick Haughton.
On Monday it was reported that Rovers had agreed a six-figure fee for free-scoring Haughton, according to leading transfer correspondent Peter O’Rourke (@footyinsider247).
Haughton,30, has been linked with a move away from Fylde following their relegation back to the National League North at the end of last season.

The attacking-midfielder has a superb record since first signing for Fylde in 2018, scoring 118 goals in 281 games. He previously played for Fleetwood, Salford and Chorley.
He was included in the National League Team of the Season last season despite the Coasters’ relegation. Haughton numbered 31 goal contributions, meaning he was involved in 60% of the Coasters league goals last season.
On the signing, manager Robbie Savage said: “Nick is a superb addition to us and has all the qualities to be a top player for this football club.
“Nick has been attracting interest from teams in the EFL but wants to be a part of something special here at FGR and we’re delighted to have him.”
His arrival marks Forest Green’s eleventh signing of the summer as they continue a major pre-season overhaul under new boss Savage and director of football Mark Bowen, ahead of their season opener away at Solihull on Saturday.
