RUSH Skatepark is actively searching for a new building in Gloucestershire as the charity takes the next step towards bringing the skatepark back.
The team is looking for a 20,000–35,000 sq ft building, ideally with a ceiling height of at least 7m, parking and enough flexibility to allow refurbishment.
RUSH says it is considering a range of options, including leasing, purchasing or lease-to-buy arrangements, and is also keen to hear about off-market, vacant or underused industrial buildings.
The charity is now appealing directly to landlords, commercial property agents, developers, property owners, business owners and council officers who may know of a suitable site.
The team said it does not necessarily need to find a building that is immediately ready to use, adding that it is willing to work with premises requiring refurbishment.
RUSH is also exploring potential charitable property arrangements, including a full or partial donation, discounted sale, long-term lease or a rent-free or discounted fit-out period.
The charity says any potential property would be subject to appropriate trustee, legal, financial, building and planning due diligence.
The appeal marks a significant step forward after years of efforts to bring RUSH back.
The team said: “We don’t need you to have the perfect building ready to go.”
“If you have a lead, know a landlord, know of an empty warehouse, or think you could help us find one, please reach out.”

The team added: “After years of trying to get RUSH back, we’re now actively looking for the place to make it happen.”
