Sam Prior has announced his decision to step down as Brimscombe manager at the end of the current season, having informed the club chairman Neil Long of his wish to leave his position when the 2023-24 campaign comes to a close.
Assistant Tim Wilkins, Andy Jones, Olly Roberts and Alex Lumsden will also vacate their positions at the end of the season, at the Hellenic Premier Division Club
Club chairman Neil Long said: “After nine years of leading our club, Sam Prior has made the difficult decision to step down at the end of the season.

“Under Sam’s guidance, the team achieved a commendable second place in the Hellenic Premier League and secured the Gloucestershire Challenge Trophy. More importantly he has successfully maintained our position in the Hellenic Premier league which is an incredible achievement and one to be proud.
“In a very personally challenging period for Sam over the past few years, he has done an amazing job, unfortunately the demanding nature of managing at this level and the immense commitment required have taken their toll, leading to his decision to step down.
“Sam is not just our manager, he is a friend to everyone at the club, and the players that have shown such commitment under his guidance can attest to this.
“Upon Sam’s departure at the end of this season, his entire management team will also be leaving. I would like to thank them for their dedication and hard work which includes a special acknowledgement to Tim Wilkins, whose fifteen years plus tenure has been invaluable. We express our gratitude to Tim for his unwavering commitment and contribution. Special thanks must also be extended to Andy Jones, Olly Roberts and Alex Lumsden.

“On behalf of the club, myself and Clive Baker, our previous chairman for the majority of Sam’s reign, we extend our sincere thanks to Sam and his management team for their hard work and dedication during their time with us. Their contributions have been truly appreciated and will not be forgotten.”
