A railway-themed independent takeaway and sandwich shop is celebrating six months’ trading in Dursley.
Sandwich Station, which opened in March in Silver Street, offers a range of freshly prepared hot and cold sandwiches alongside homemade specials and a fully stocked salad bar.
The shop combines quality food with a unique atmosphere – customers are welcomed by a traditionally sign-written frontage, while inside the carefully designed interior features subtle railway-inspired touches that give Sandwich Station its own character and identity.
Owner Amy Ellis said: “We wanted to create something special for Dursley – a place where customers can enjoy freshly prepared food, quality ingredients and friendly service in a unique setting.”
The menu includes hot sandwiches filled with slow-cooked pork and brisket, as well as a selection of homemade favourites including beef croquettes and traditional Scotch eggs, all made on site. Customers can also choose from a wide range of fresh salad options.
Since opening its doors in March, Sandwich Station has received a warm welcome from residents, workers and visitors, with many praising both the quality of the food and the shop’s distinctive style.
Amy, who has run the Bank Café in Parsonage Street for 12 years, added: “We’re passionate about making as much as possible ourselves and giving customers something a little different. The response so far has been fantastic, and we’re grateful for all the support we’ve received.”
