Schools have begun telling parents that they can send their children in late on Monday morning after staying up for the Euro 2024 final the night before.
England will play Spain in Berlin in an 8pm kick-off on Sunday with millions of excited supporters set to watch the match back home with friends and family.
Children are being encouraged to watch the game, which will finish at about 10pm at the earliest, with headteachers offering a ‘soft start’ on Monday.
Foxmoor Primary have said children can still arrive at the normal time of 8.40am and the registers will remain open until 10am. However, after this time, children will be marked in late or absent.
While there has been no national policy imposed on schools by the Government, many will give children a lie-in and tell them to come in up to two hours late.
