As a last-minute change of bill, Seann Walsh will stand in for Hal Cruttenden at Stroud Sub Rooms next Thursday, September 9th.
Described as ‘the best observational comedian of his generation’ by The Guardian, this Edinburgh Award nominee’s last UK tour show After This One, I’m Going Home ended with standing ovations around the country. Seann has starred in Netflix’s Flinch, Live at The Apollo, Tonight at The London Palladium, Celebrity Juice, Play to the Whistle, Virtually Famous, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Chatty Man, Stand Up Central and is a regular guest on The Jonathan Ross Show.
Not just one of the countries funniest stand-up comedians, Seann can be seen acting in Jack Dee’s ITV sitcom Bad Move where he plays audience favourite, Grizzo.
Support is provided by Tadiwa Mahlunge, one of comedy’s most exciting new acts, having recently appeared on BBC2’s Funny Festival Live. He’s also won a multitude of awards including winning London and Manchester King Gong in 2018 and 2020, The Blackout at Up The Creek 2020 and most recently winning Beat The Frog at The Frog and Bucket in 2021.
Also appearing is Ania Magliano, who has written for Frankie Boyle’s New World Order (BBC2), Newsjack (BBC R4), and The Now Show (BBC R4). Her previous shows have received 5 stars from Diva Magazine and have been recommended by Comedy Central as a ‘show not to miss’. She was a Funny Women Finalist 2020, 2Northdown New Act of the Year Finalist 2019 and Chortle Student Comedy Award Finalist 2018.
