SGS College and SGS Create are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of their students in this year’s GCSE and Level 2 results, with numerous students surpassing national benchmarks and demonstrating remarkable personal growth, resilience, and creativity.
Tom Beer, Headteacher of SGS Create, said: “These results reflect the determination of our students, many of whom have overcome significant barriers to learning. Seeing so many achieve strong passes across core subjects is a testament to their hard work and the dedication of our teaching and support staff. We are proud not only of the grades achieved, but also of the personal growth, creativity, and resilience our students have developed during their time at SGS Create.”

🌟 Spotlight on Jimi Hyde
Jimi Hyde achieved a Grade 4 in English and a Merit in Art & Design. He credited the support from teachers, flexible schedules, and focused study sessions for his success. Jimi will now continue his creative journey at the Stroud School of Art.
Celebrating Resilience and Achievement at SGS College
SGS College students demonstrated exceptional commitment across a variety of subjects and practical courses.
- Moas Ghazalah achieved a Grade 4 in Maths and a Merit in Level 2 Plumbing. Having arrived in the UK from Syria in 2016, Moas now embarks on a plumbing apprenticeship with Merretts Heating. He reflected, “The teachers are brilliant and supportive; they stuck with me every step of the way.”
- Ben Innes and Charlie Robbins both achieved a Merit in Level 2 Carpentry, progressing directly from GCSE. Their hard work and practical experience under tutors and external employers have prepared them for apprenticeships in Gloucester.
- Cecilia Castagna and Lorcan Maccarthy celebrated outstanding results: Cecilia achieved Grade 8 in Maths GCSE, and Lorcan earned a Distinction in Level 2 Music alongside high grades in English and Maths. Both are progressing to further studies in their chosen fields.
- Olivia Hamilton, previously home-schooled, achieved top marks across GCSEs, including Combined Science 7/6 and English Language 6, and will start an engineering apprenticeship with SLB.
- Maygan McGloughlin successfully completed Level 1 Bricklaying and achieved a Grade 4 in English, now moving on to Level 2 Bricklaying while continuing Maths studies.
- Jade Dulare, returning to education after 23 years, achieved a Grade 6 in GCSE English Language, exemplifying that learning has no age limit.
