The Sharpness 150 events programme continues to celebrate 150 years of the Sharpness New Dock, with a Maritime Enthusiasts’ Day on Saturday August 17th at the Sharpness Sports & Social Club, formerly known as the Dockers Club.

Sharpness 150 unites people from the local community, surrounding areas and visitors to enjoy exploring the past, present and future of Sharpness Dock, still a busy working port. Sharpness 150 is also creating a lasting accessible online heritage and educational resource, preserving insights and personal Sharpness stories across the generations.

Following a highly successful launch event, Sharpness 150 continues its celebrations throughout 2024. Following the Maritime Enthusiasts’ Day the Sharpness 150 Sea Shanty Festival takes place in September.
