Shortwood shock: search for new manager begins as Soule and Fogg resign

Shortwood are this week looking for a new boss after Ian Soule’s resignation.

It’s all change at the Nailsworth club with manager Soule and assistant Lewis Fogg calling it quits at the Hellenic League Division One West side.

Club spokesperson Jim Cunneen told Stroud Times: “We reluctantly accepted their resignation, but part on very good terms and we wish them well for the future and they will always be welcome at Meadowbank.”

Soule spent one full season at the helm after replacing Matty Blythe. A raft of injuries, including strikers Luke Soule and Jake Rhodes put paid to their play-off ambitions this season with the club ending the season in ninth.
