Slimbridge boss Coyle ready for start of season

Slimbridge co-manager Adam Coyle insists his side are ready for their opening Hellenic Premier Division game of the new season at home to Highworth Town on Tuesday,7.45pm.

Coyle’s Swans’ outfit beat Shortwood United 4-0 at Meadowbank in their final pre-season friendly on Friday thanks to goals from Rudi McKinnon, Tyler Jaggers, George Neill and Jack Smith.

Coyle said: “It was a pleasing end to pre-season, the last couple of games we haven’t scored when we should’ve done and killed the game off.

“But, last night – we were clinical and the quality we had in the final third shone through and a clean sheet was pleasing and takes us into the season nicely.”
