This Saturday, June 3rd, the team at Five Valleys in Stroud will be hosting a ‘Keepy Uppy’ challenge for youngsters in the centre’s new outdoor courtyard space.

The aim of the game is to keep a football in the air for as long as possible by bouncing it off any part of the body except the hands and arms.

The free children’s event will run from 11am until 1pm and will be hosted and judged by coach, Michal Kazimierczak from local football team, Rodborough FC.

Children entering the competition will be split into three age groups 5-8, 9-12 and 13-16 and the winner from each category will scoop a trophy plus a fabulous prize donated by one of the businesses on the centre.

Prizes include a free family meal from House of Piri, £20 store gift vouchers and a family day out at Stroud Bowl.

Jack Simpson, Centre Manager at Five Valleys, said: “This is a great weekend for children at Five Valleys, we have lots of fantastic activities on offer and one very special guest landing at the centre on Saturday.”

Kids in Stroud are in for a special treat this weekend as Spider-man will be zapping his way into Fat Toni’s Pizzeria on Saturday for a meet and greet in time for the new Spider-man film release. Spider-man will be at Fat Toni’s from 1pm until 3:30pm.

Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse launches on the big screens at Vue on Friday, June 2nd, and will be showing at 12:20, 3:35 and 7pm on Saturday.

Spider-man fans will be able to time a lunch or evening meal before or after watching the film taking advantage of the special offers exclusive to Vue ticket holders that Fat Toni’s are running to celebrate the release of the film.

Valid with any Vue ticket from June 3 until June 11, children will be able to dine at Fat Toni’s restaurant enjoying a pizza and a drink for just £5. Non-ticket holders will still be able to gobble up the deal for £8 with a dessert choice of chocolate, strawberry or pistachio sundaes for £3.50.

Jack continued: “We received a great response when Mario came to visit so we advise people to book with Fat Toni’s as soon as possible to not miss out! Also don’t forget families can save £1 per ticket by booking cinema tickets online at myvue.com.”

There will also be a battle of the BBQ’s held with House of Piri and The BBQ Society showing off their skills on the griddle.
