Stroud Book Festival is delighted to welcome elite performance coach Owen Eastwood for a ‘must-see event for sports fans’ at Stroud Sub Rooms on the evening of Friday, November 5, writes Caroline Sanderson.
New Zealand-born Owen Eastwood is one of the world’s most in-demand elite performance coaches, who has worked with Gareth Southgate’s England men’s football team, the Scotland rugby team and Team GB’s Olympic squad, as well as the South African cricket team.
Beyond sport, Owen has also helped the Command Group of NATO and the Royal Ballet School to build a sense of togetherness, teamwork and group identity.
Owen Eastwood will be talking about his book, the international bestseller “Belonging: The Ancient Code of Togetherness”, which has received rave reviews including ‘One of the wisest books about winning you’ll ever read…Powerful lessons beautifully expressed.’ James Kerr.
Drawing upon his Maori ancestry as well as a powerful meld of evolutionary science, philosophy and personal development, Owen Eastwood will present his insights on the methods he’s used to maximise team performance, whether in sport, business or more widely in life. Our audience will also discover why every England football team member was given a copy of his book on arrival into camp for this summer’s Euros.
