Heads were turning in Stroud at the weekend when stellar singer, actor and Game of Thrones star Jerome Flynn was spotted basking in the Indian summer weather and taking time out with friends around the town.
Flynn, 58, sat with a group of friends, chatting in the sunshine in Bank Gardens, when a sharp-eyed reader spotted him and sent this image to Stroud Times.
“I took a discrete photo but didn’t want to go and spoil his peace by asking for a selfie!” said the onlooker.
Rumours around town suggested Flynn, who is known to eschew celebrity culture and lives in Pembrokeshire, had travelled to Nailsworth to watch Forest Green Rovers, with several eye witnesses saying he attended FGR’s fixture against Northampton Town.
A visit to the world’s first vegan football club would certainly have appealed to Flynn’s convictions. Flynn, who plays Bronn in the cult hit Game of Thrones, is firmly on record for his support for the vegan lifestyle.
Stroud Times has approached the actor’s agent for comment.
