Stagecoach West is proud to announce its continued support for Meningitis Now’s much-loved Five Valleys Walk, which took place recently.

Colleagues from the Stroud, Oxford, and Bristol depots, alongside staff from Head Office, joined forces to assist with the event—demonstrating the company’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and charitable causes.

For more than 38 years, Stagecoach West has partnered with the Stroud-based charity, providing complimentary shuttle bus services to participants and helping ensure the smooth running of the fundraising walk.

Walkers can take on the full 21-mile route or join for shorter sections, with free Stagecoach shuttle buses running between six checkpoints and returning participants to the start point at Stroud Cricket Club. Each year, Stagecoach drivers volunteer their own time to provide this vital transport, ensuring every step taken raises more sponsorship.

This year’s event raised an incredible £41,500, a testament to the generosity and community spirit of all involved.

Stagecoach West’s Marketing Manager, Louise Bryce, was among the participants. She said: “I loved taking part in the walk with some of my colleagues and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who kindly sponsored us. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to come together in support of such a worthy cause. I am very proud of our Stagecoach drivers who gave up their free time—some travelling from as far as Oxfordshire—to ensure the event’s success.”
