Nailsworth Festival is returning this weekend from Saturday, May 16 to Sunday, May 24, bringing a week of music, talks and family events to the town.

Cricket broadcaster Jonathan Agnew will appear on Friday, May 22, reflecting on the recent Ashes and his career, while Grant Harrold, former butler to King Charles III, is also set to speak.

The programme includes theatre from the Pantaloons, sessions on Cotswolds folklore and local history, and live music ranging from classical with the Kleio Quartet to jazz from the Philip Clouts Quartet and jazz, blues, ragtime and gospel from the Jake Leg Jug Band.

Opening day features free family entertainment in Mortimer Gardens, funded by Nailsworth Town Council.

A festival market is taking place in the bus station, alongside an artisan market on Market Street organised by Love Nailsworth.

Duck Races will be taking place in the brook, courtesy of Nailsworth PTFA, and there will be a family sports fest in the afternoon.

Full details are available on the Nailsworth Festival website.
