Reverend Simon Helme will chair a General Election Hustings organised by Churches Together.
The hustings will take place on Thursday, June 27, 7pm at St Laurence Church, Stroud.
Rev Simon Helme, Minister of Dursley Tab and Rodborough Tab, is also chairing the Dursley Hustings the evening before, 7.30pm at Dursley Tab.
Spokesperson Phil Coysh said: “The Stroud Hustings will be asking questions of the candidates which are of particular interest to the faith community and we will deal with moral and social questions which are not receiving widespread media coverage, for example: poverty, the war in Gaza, international aid, assisted dying, abortion time limits, the wealth gap, gender issues, social care and the climate emergency.”
The parliamentary candidates attending the event are:

- Siobhan Baillie – Conservative Party
- Pete Kennedy – Green Party
- George James – Liberal Democrats
- Jason Hughes – VOLT UK
