Dear Editor,
Please can I use your pages to thank the DJs who came together to host a night of reggae music in aid of medical supplies for Palestinians.
Playing for more than five hours, the DJs raised £1400 for the ‘Medical Aid for the Children of Gaza’ appeal organised by Big Give as part of their Christmas Challenge 2023, for the charity Medical Aid for Palestinians.
The Stroud DJ Collective for Peace, as they are known as, are; JagP from Global Beats, Threebagsfull from Majestic Vision, Monobrow from Loose Joints , Mendoza from Stroud Block Party, Darius from Crooked Stylus, Shaybae from Valley Steppas , Maxi Dread from Dreadwise music , Sean Roe from Klang Tone, Widebeam from Widebeam Sound System, Juggla from Piriquito Capoeira and Fidel Cutstro.
I would also like to thank all the people who attended the event and donated to the appeal.
More than 5,000 children have been killed in Gaza since October 7th and hundreds have been reported missing, potentially trapped beneath debris awaiting rescue. Thousands of children have been injured and are in desperate need of medical help.
I urge your readers to help by donating to the Big Give ‘Medical Aid for the Children of Gaza Appeal’ which is open till midday, Sunday 5th Dec. Please go to this webpage for donations.
