After more than 20 years helping people recover from injury and move without pain, Stroud movement specialist Amy Cooke is launching a new online membership designed specifically for women navigating midlife.
Cooke, who runs her studio at Fromehall Mill, has built a reputation locally for helping clients with everything from back pain and pelvic floor problems to strength recovery and movement rehabilitation. Many women travel from across Gloucestershire to work with her one-to-one.
But over the years she noticed a pattern.
“Women would come to me exhausted,” she says. “They were juggling work, families, stress and huge physical changes. They often felt like their bodies had suddenly become unfamiliar.”

Hormonal shifts, reduced bone density, pelvic floor changes and rising stress levels mean that the kind of exercise women did in their twenties often stops working for them in midlife. Yet many mainstream fitness programmes fail to take these changes into account.
Cooke says that gap is exactly what inspired She Moves, a new online women’s health membership launching later this month.

“I wanted to create something that truly understands women’s bodies,” she explains. “Not another punishing workout programme, but a system that combines strength, precise Pilates-based movement, pelvic-floor awareness and nervous system support.”
The membership will include a library of guided sessions ranging from 30 minutes to an hour, allowing women to choose classes based on their time, energy and focus. Alongside strength training and Pilates, the platform also includes resources designed to support nervous system regulation and positive habit change.
A weekly live class will allow members to move together in real time, while recordings mean the sessions can be followed at any time.

Cooke believes that flexibility is key for busy women.
“Most women don’t have hours to spend exercising,” she says. “They want something intelligent, effective and realistic that fits around their lives.”
While the membership is online, Cooke says the intention is to create a genuine sense of community.
“So many women feel like they have to figure all of this out on their own. I wanted to create something supportive — somewhere women can build strength, confidence and resilience together.”
She Moves launches on 20 March, with a founding member rate of £25 per month available until the end of March.
Cooke says the response so far has been encouraging.
“I think women are ready for a different approach to movement — one that respects the body rather than punishing it.”
