Dear Editor,
We, the core leadership of the Stroud Parish Churches, stand united against hate speech and divisive rhetoric.
Any event that is in danger of promoting hateful ideologies goes against the principles that define the community of which we are a part. We wholeheartedly counter views that do not align with the inclusivity, tolerance, and respect that we hold dear.
Embracing such values is vital to maintaining harmony and cohesion within our community. We believe in fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and safe. The parish churches of Stroud are dedicated to building bridges, not walls, and we reject any message that seeks to sow discord and animosity. We know that hurtful and discriminatory messages have a significant impact on members of our communities. We express our solidarity with them, providing support, love, and a firm commitment to consistently confront racism and bigotry.
The Stroud Team Ministry rejects any rhetoric promoting hatred and division. Together we strive for a community that values inclusivity and understanding.
Many blessings,
Simon
