Police on the beat in Stroud have dealt with several incidents over the weekend, including a three-vehicle crash, a shoplifter and a safeguarding check on a vulnerable man.
Officers were called to a crash at Merrywalks on Saturday. An ambulance and fire engine attended the scene after a three-vehicle accident.
A police spokesperson said: “Thankfully there were no serious injuries.”
On a busy Saturday, officers arrested a shoplifter, who was also charged with a public order offence and possession of a controlled drug.
Meanwhile, police reported two further arrests, including an arrest for a breach of a civil injunction.
A spokesperson said: “We will not tolerate anti-social behaviour in our town and will actively deal with offenders.”
Elsewhere, police carried out a welfare, reassurance and safeguarding check on a vulnerable male, where an attempt to exploit them had taken place.
