Two youth bands from Stroud are to play live at the next Stroud Love Music Hate Racism Event at Studio 18 on Saturday, October 15th.
Prodigal describe themselves as a heavy rock band, inspired by the sounds of Nirvana, System of a down, Alice in Chains and Deftones. Their music blends heavy, driving riffs with soft dissonant melodic parts creating rich soundscapes and dynamic shifts. https://prodigalband.wixsite.com/prodigal. Now based in London, band members are from Stroud.

Portobello, winners of Stroud Song Contest 2022, are an alternative rock band from Stroud. They are influenced by bands such as Wet Leg, Beabadoobee and Fleetwood Mac. They met at Stroud College and are making waves. With their catchy melodic hooks, surrounding bass guitar sound, lively hard hitting drum beat and luscious vocal harmonies, their set is guaranteed to create a memorable experience.
