Stroud is set to welcome a brand-new destination for vintage lovers as Home of Vintage opens at Five Valleys on Thursday, perfectly timed ahead of the much-loved Stroud Goodwill Evening on Friday.
Bringing together some of Gloucestershire’s finest vintage, retro and pre-loved traders under one roof, Home of Vintage is set to become the largest vintage space in the region. More traders are already lined up to join in the New Year, with spaces still available for those keen to be part of the community.
Visitors will discover a vibrant marketplace filled with creativity, character and community, featuring artists, makers, collectors, booksellers, pre-loved fashion specialists, retro décor sellers and craftspeople.
Styled with colourful shutters inspired by the centre’s popular Food Hall, the new hall will open Thursday to Sunday, enhanced by Instagrammable murals, artwork, retro-inspired décor and a lively soundtrack.
The first traders opening on 4 December include Moss Furnishings, Dragonfly Books, Vintage Vibes, Wardrobe by Rebecca, Hannah O’Kelly Arts, Gather, Karakorum, Carrington Coins, Phillips and Farrell, Rusty Gold and Gloucestershire Vintage Watches.
Mr Juice will be serving healthy juices and drinks from a vintage Citroen van parked at the entrance.
Five Valleys, owned and managed by Yorkshire-based Dransfield Properties, has undergone a £30m transformation since 2018.
Chairman Mark Dransfield said: “We can’t wait to launch Home of Vintage and welcome our first traders on Thursday 4 December. Stroud is a unique town and we want to create something vibrant and different that reflects that. The town has a long-held love for all things creative and pre-loved, and this new space will showcase that spirit while offering opportunities for independent businesses.
“We’re pleased to have a strong line-up of small businesses going on this journey with us – and look forward to a full launch in Spring 2026.”
With more than 30 bespoke units, flexible lease terms and affordable rents, Home of Vintage is designed to attract both established traders and exciting new start-ups.
Already home to global street food vendors, a medical centre, town library, Vue Cinema and Stroud Bowl, Five Valleys continues to strengthen its role as a key destination for shopping, leisure and community activity. The arrival of Home of Vintage adds yet another distinctive attraction to the mix.
The new Home of Vintage can be found in the main mall area at Five Valley7s next to the food hall which has also been extended and is welcoming three new local traders – Simpsons Fish and Chips, the Bap Shack from Halls and Vinnies Mac and Cheese.
