A burst water pipe is causing disruption and loss of water pressure around Stroud. A photo, taken by Antony Lynall at 3.30PM today, shows the depth of water on part of the cycle path at Wallbridge.
Severn Trent Water posted about the incident this evening: ‘Customers may notice a slight dip in their water pressure in the GL5 area of Stroud due to a burst pipe nearby.
‘We have a team on site working on the repair, and are hoping to have this resolved as quickly as possible.
‘We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate your patience while we work to get this resolved.’
Stroud Times has received reports that parts of Kingscourt, Rodborough, are currently without water.
Update: At 5.22AM Severn Trent Water reported the problem had been resolved: ‘The repair on our network in Stroud has now been completed and customers who had no water or reduced pressure during this time will see their supplies return back to normal. We’re really sorry for any inconvenience caused by this and thank you for your patience.’
