Hugh Phillimore describes the Sub Rooms as being in rude health after bumper tickets sales this year.
However, the volunteer director believes there’s plenty more to do to safeguard the future of Stroud’s iconic entertainment venue.
“We’re feeling pretty optimistic,” said Huw. “In January and February, we sold £110,000 pounds worth of tickets, which is more than 5,500 tickets – So things are looking good for the future, but we need to sell £600,000 of tickets and about £400,000 pounds of booze and food to be in with a chance of keeping this building working.”
