Children in Stroud are in for an extra special treat this Easter weekend when the famous Italian plumber, Mario, pops to Fat Toni’s at Five Valleys shopping centre for one of their award-winning pizzas.

Mario will be ready to greet and have photos taken with cinema goers on Good Friday from 12 noon until 2pm and again 4pm until 5pm returning on Saturday at the same times.

Centre Manager for Five Valleys, Jack Simpson, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Mario to our centre and hope fans get to enjoy a bite to eat and a photo with him this Friday and Saturday.”

The new Super Mario Bros Movie hits the big screen on Wednesday [April 5] and Vue at Five Valleys is showing the popular film several times every day at 10am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4:30pm, 5:30pm and 7pm.

Mario fans will be able to time a lunch or evening meal before or after watching the film taking advantage of the special offers exclusive to cinema ticket holders that Fat Toni’s are running to celebrate the release of the film.

Valid with any Vue ticket from April 5 until April 19, Kids aged below 12 can enjoy a 9inch pizza and a scoop of ice cream for just £5 and for adults at lunch a standard pizza and soft drink will cost just £10. In the evenings adults can take advantage of their two for £12 deal on their extensive menu of cocktails.

Jack continued: “We expect the offer to be popular so advise people to book with Fat Toni’s as soon as possible to not miss out. Also don’t forget families can save £1 per ticket by booking tickets online at myvue.com.

Mario told the centre that it was only natural the underground labyrinth would bring him to Fat Toni’s at Five Valleys shopping centre, the pizzas served there are the perfect ‘power up’ needed for the rest of his quest.

Fat Toni’s opened their 108 seat pizza restaurant at the beginning of this year following the huge success from their takeaway business next door. The restaurant offers 25 different toppings, or if diners are undecided they can choose their own combination, all served on their signature sourdough bases and using the freshest, local ingredients.

There’s plenty to do at Five Valleys this Easter school holidays including trying some street food at the indoor market or enjoying some bowling at Stroud Bowl.

Alternative U and PG rated films showing at Vue currently include Mummies, Little Eggs, Epic Tales and Puss in Boots. For all film times and to book tickets visit the Vue website www.myvue.com/whats-on and don’t forget the Saturday mini mornings where kids get to watch a film from just £2.49 if booked online.
