A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of carrying a knife after reports of disorder near a Dursley supermarket.
The incident, near Sainsbury’s took place on Saturday afternoon just before 5pm. A teenage female was arrested for possession of a knife.
A spokesperson for the police said: “We would also like to reinforce that carrying a knife is not the solution and is reckless.
“Carrying a knife puts yourself and those around you at significant risk.
“As we regularly see in the media and in our communities, these incidents often end in disaster and can leave families, friends and communities torn apart by the tragic and unnecessary outcomes.
“We ask that you think twice before carrying a knife in public and, to remind those who do, that we have zero tolerance for such offences.”
