Breakfast is meant to be the most important meal of the day so we went in search of a hearty Stroud fry up.
We found it in abundance at the popular Lord John in Stroud, which set us up for our day at the office.

What did we order?
Wetherspoon’s in Stroud is certainly competitive on price and breakfasts start from £2.79.
My colleague Faye Hatcher ordered a vegetarian breakfast for just £3.69, her plate was full to the brim as it boasted two fried eggs, two vegan sausages, baked beans, mushrooms and a tomato. Plus a slice of toast and butter to mop up that savoury goodness.

I ordered a traditional breakfast, which featured a fried egg, bacon and delicious Lincolnshire sausage, baked beans, two hash browns and toast all for an incredibly reasonable £3.69.

Our colleague Matt Bigwood went for something a little different – his pick was the American breakfast. His undoubted feast consisted of two fried eggs, two hash browns, maple-cured bacon, two Lincolnshire sausages and four pancakes, topped off with maple-flavour syrup – £7.00.

And it that wasn’t enough you could grab a free refill of tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

The Lord John has something for everyone and we will certainly be back.
Breakfast is served at The Lord John from 8am until noon daily and a children’s breakfast menu is available.
