A classic Fiat 500 has appeared on the roof of an Italian restaurant in Nailsworth.

The vintage car has been placed above popular Italian restaurant Amalfi and owner Mario, who opened the Market Street eatery in 2017, said the iconic vehicle is already catching lots of attention: “We placed it above our restaurant last night, Thursday, via a crane. We’re really happy with it. We brought it over from Palermo in Sicily and it looks amazing and people really like it.

An onlooker who was taking pictures of the eye-catching vehicle, told Stroud Times: “I couldn’t believe it when I passed the restaurant – it’s incredible and is causing a stir in Nailsworth – I’ve heard former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson is planning a visit and it has made an impact already.”
